We know how difficult it can be to visit a church for the first time. Here at Destiny we want to make this a comfortable and stress-free experience for you. Below are frequently asked questions about our church. If you have any additional questions we would love to hear from you to make sure we can give you the best experience possible this Sunday.

+ Where and when do we meet?

We meet every Sunday at 10am. Our location is 1425 N 6th St in Springfield, IL.

+ I see the church sign, where do I park?

Our parking lot is one block on the right. We offer a shuttle for those who need assistance walking. Parking is also available on 6th street. Handicap parking is also available. If you have any questions, our welcome team is available to help.

+ What do we do for kids?

Destiny Kids teaches children essential Biblical truths that allow them to grow up into the destiny God has for them! We believe there is no "junior" Holy Spirit. The same God that we worship and have a relationship with is the same God that our kids worship and have a relationship with! We encourage you to give your children the opportunity to attend Destiny Kids, rather than attending the adult service. Pastor Hannah would love to meet you and your kids this Sunday!

+ What do we do for teens?

Destiny Teens is a community of High School and Junior High students meeting Wednesday nights at 6:30pm. Pastor Myles & Sarah teach Biblical truths in a relevant way that allows teens to create strong relationships with God.

+ How long is the service?

You’ll find our Sunday service typically lasts from 10am to 11:30am.

+ What should I wear?

Most people wear casual attire at our services. It’s totally up to you!

+ Where do I go when I get there?

When you walk into our doors you’ll be welcomed by our hosts. They are there to help you find anything you need. Our main pre-service gathering area is the Destiny Cafe. There we serve free drip coffee and breakfast snacks. If you have children, our hosts can direct you to the Destiny Kid’s check-in that opens 15 minutes before service to give you time to meet some new friends!

+ Is Destiny a safe place?

The security of our church family is important to us. We have a trained safety team monitoring and protecting all areas of the church. We also have cameras recording all activity in the nursery, Destiny Kids, as well as all other areas of gathering.

All Destiny Kid’s and nursery staff have completed and passed thorough background checks. At the kids check-in, parents complete a quick one-time registration where special instructions pertaining to each child can be recorded and shared with our staff (this is helpful in the case of food allergies, medications, or any developmental instructions that can help us serve your children more effectively). Children receive a tag with their name and a unique code. This code is printed on the parent tag as well to confirm children are only given to their parents during check-out.
